These images were taken on a whim when a beautiful snowfall began one afternoon.  I am so glad we took the time and effort; these are my favorite portraits of her to date.  My little snow angel…

What I Like About You

My Dearest Little One,

I like how you march to the beat of a different drum.  While all the other girls talk about princesses and Barbie dolls, you talk about Spider Man and try to think of ways to catch the Loch Ness Monster.  I like how you don’t fit into a mold.  I like your spunk and your goofy sense of humor.  There’s no one else in the world like you!  I hope that as you grow up, you can ignore the pressure to be like everyone else, and continue to follow your own star.

I like how you have a special compassion for animals.  You talk about growing up to be a veterinarian or animal medic at the zoo.  And a rock star like Lady Gaga.  At the same time.  You have a lot of dreams, and I can’t wait to see who you will be, what you will achieve.

I like your zest for life, your spirit.  You are passionate in everything you do; you want to soak up all that life has to offer.  And you are always up for an adventure!

I like how you dance like nobody’s watching.  You dance with a freedom that most people will never know.  I hope that is something you will be able to do all your life.

I like your creativity.  You have such an imagination, and I hope you never lose your sense of wonder at the world.

I like the kindness in your soul.  I know your heart, and it is beautiful.  You are sweet and kind and good.

I like you and love you more than anything in the whole world, little girl!
