A soft sigh. A smitten gaze. A smile and a look into each other’s eyes that says, “How did we get so lucky?” It’s so sweet to see parents in love with their new baby.
I really like to personalize a client’s photo session whenever possible; one of the ways we can do that is by including some meaningful personal items into their photos. Little Kayden’s daddy is an avid huntsman, so we incorporated that into Kayden’s newborn photos. Who would ever think that antlers would make a cool newborn photography prop? I love his expression in this photo. :)
I don’t know what is more sparkly, little Olivia or the twinkle lights that served as her backdrop…Oh, who am I kidding–there’s no contest. Olivia definitely wins, hands down!
Love this family!
Safiya and Robbie, it was wonderful to see you and Olivia again! (((Hugs))) Sandy
Just 6 days old, this little sweet pea slept through most of her newborn photos. Meet the adorable Miss Riley, who is already stealing hearts everywhere!

She has her mommy’s eyes…bright, thoughtful, and kind. And it may be too early to tell, but I think she has her daddy’s smile. You may remember her mommy and daddy from their maternity session in the springtime, not so very long ago when the trees were in bloom. When parents feel their baby kicking inside momma’s belly, they dream about what she will look like, what her personality will be. By the loving way that Safiya and Robbie look at their little girl, you can tell that she is everything they hoped for and more.
Safiya and Robbie, congratulations on your BEAUTIFUL baby girl!!! (((Hugs))) Sandy
It’s so sweet to see everyone enjoying the presence of a tiny new family member. Baby portraits are more than just pictures of baby; they are also portraits of family love. Is there anything cuter than two brothers doting on their baby sister?
Congratulations, Leslie and Tim! You have a beautiful family! (((Hugs))) Sandy

I love doing lifestyle photography, because it is a blend of photojournalism and fine art portraiture. It tells a story…captures a feeling…observes personalities and relationships. I had the best time photographing Casey, Brian, and their little peanut Sloan, on a beautiful day in the countryside. There was so much love in this family! I put together a little video that I think captures the day perfectly. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to enjoy it.
